The Robinson R66 Transition Training Course is designed to prepare pilots for the safe and efficient operation of the Robinson R66 helicopter. This program provides a deep understanding of the R66’s unique systems and flight characteristics, ensuring pilots gain the skills and confidence needed to operate the aircraft effectively.

What You will Learn 

  • R66 Aircraft Systems

Get a detailed overview of the R66’s systems, including the Rolls-Royce RR300 turbine engine, avionics suite, hydraulic flight controls, electrical systems, and fuel management. Learn how these systems work together for optimal performance and reliability.

  • Operating Procedures

Master the standard operating procedures for the R66, covering pre-flight inspections, in-flight operations, and post-flight checks. Build familiarity with the steps needed to ensure a safe and efficient flight.

  • Performance Characteristics

Understand how to evaluate and manage the R66’s performance under varying conditions, such as changes in altitude, temperature, and weight. Learn the helicopter’s capabilities and limitations to optimize safety and efficiency.

  • Normal and Emergency Procedures

Practice both normal flight operations and critical emergency procedures, such as managing power failures, hydraulic issues, and other in-flight anomalies. Develop best practices for maintaining safety and managing unexpected situations.

    • Ground Training: Comprehensive instruction on systems, performance, and procedures.

Tuition

  • $7,000 USD

Cancellation Policy

Reservations and tuition are non-transferable. To reschedule, notify RHC at least two weeks before your course date to avoid an additional 50% tuition fee and to select a new class date. Cancellations made at least two weeks before your scheduled course date are eligible for a 90% refund. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than two weeks before the scheduled date, and no-shows forfeit their entire tuition.
